Deep within the captivating rolling meadows, resided a young shepherd. His life was untarnished, simple yet virtuous. His only responsibility was to look after his herd of ewes.
Their gentle baas and the rustling of the breezes across the solo tree on the hilltop were his constant companions. Day upon day, watching over his wards instilled in him a feeling of quiet fulfillment.
However, there were the occasional moments of isolation, when the shepherd boy would long for companionship. In one such instance because of sheer boredom, the shepherd boy conceived a naughty plan.
Stories of wild beasts hunting on sheep had been heard times and again in the hamlet. So, the boy chose to leveraged this fear and played a joke on the townsfolk.
One morning he dashed into the village yelling “Wolf! There is a wolf attacking my sheep!” The scared villagers sprinted up the hills to help but discovered no wolf.
